Mission Statement
The RAPHA BEAR PROJECT is an outreach program of STARR MINISTRIES. It was birthed from our personal journey during my daughters illness and it is our goal to help inspire others to stand in FAITH, walk in HOPE and TRUST God regardless of how things look in the natural. Additionally we are here to help educate people on the truth of who Jehovah Rapha is and share with you many wonderful healing scriptures to speak over your life and over the lives of others who are
in need a healing touch from God. The WORD clearly tells us...
"By HIS stripes, you are healed"
Who is Rapha Bear...
During my daughters illness a bouquet of flowers arrived and with them came a small brown teddy bear. Nicole hadn't smiled in days so I quickly grabbed the bear and began giving her teddy bear kisses. A slight smile came across her face and she whispered "Mom, what's his name" and without hesitation I named him RAPHA for Jehovah Rapha, our healer and from that moment on Rapha Bear was born and he never left her side. He became Nicole's point of contact to the Lord, he was her prayer cloth and he was with us throughout our long 9 months journey. Some may say "a teddy bear, how foolish is that" but God uses the foolish things of this world to confound (amaze) the wise so we are stepping out and sharing this message of HOPE with others.
WHO IS JEHOVAH RAPHA
Jehovah (JHVH) is a Latin word translated from Hebrew (YHWH) which means LORD and RAPHA is a Hebrew word that means to heal or restore. Together it means "THE LORD WHO HEALS" revealing God as the healer of an individuals physical, spiritual & emotional needs. The bible's first mention of God as healer is in Exodus 15:26
"I AM THE LORD WHO HEALS"
